Samm shifts one square to the southwest to stand one square below his brother. Samm will attack the "Z"ombie directly in front of him with Righteous Brand and, if successful, will give the +3 power melee attack bonus to Donn.
Donn will issue a Divine Challenge to the "Z"ombie immediately in front of him and will then attack the Zombie with Holy Strike.

Bart steps up and his luck holds (roll 13, 18, damage 10) as he enflames the zombies. Samm joins him, and barley hits, but does solid damage (11). Donne, bolstered by his brothers Righteous Brand, also hits, and its clears the zombie dislikes the radiant strike (9+bonus for radiant). Both are on their last ligament.

Two zombies shamble forward, the turning already wearing off. One grabs Bart (you can’t move, but can do other stuff) and the other slams him for 11 damage (13 total, bloodied?). The other two focus on the paladin. One misses, the other hits for 9 points (19 total, bloodied?).
The warlock continues to watch at the rear. And what are those moaning sounds coming from the North and West? You can't really see much.

Bart wonders if anyone else can get some light going to see what those other moans area about.
Since he can't move, he will instead cast burning hands targetting all four visible zombies.
He will use his infernal wrath against the one who hit him and blood hunt against the bloodied ones.
If he gets "let go" he will take a 5 foot "shift" to move behind (North of) Donn

Bart easily hits the four zombies with ribbons of hire, incinerating the two on their last ligaments. The other two are burned, a little (9 and 10 with IW?), and are bloodied, (or is it bloodier?).
The two south/in front of Donne and Samme are gone. You can still post by tonight/tom morning.

Donne will issue a divine challenge to the the zombie still standing (just to the northwest of him) and will attack it with Holy Strike.
Samm will shift one square to the northwest (he wants to move up just south of one of the zombies stills standing, just to the west of Donne) and he will attack the zombie with Priest's Shield(if he hits, he would give the power bonus to AC to Bart.
(If Donne had manged to kill the Zombie, Samm would move up an additional square to engage the northermost zombie.)
Both Donne and Samm will also listen for any more moaning. Samm (Dungeoneering?) will try to see if he can guess what might be causing the noise - more zombies or something else - and also if he can estimate numbers.

The Katera cultist finish off the other two zombies. But in their moment of triumph they realized, the warlock is gone. Perhaps he was dragged to a horrible death by other zombies—they did hear sounds before? They search, but realized there are many passages, and more of those “terror runes” inscribed here and there. And there is some unease about running into more zombies.
But then it dawns on them. Why no scream or signal? Where is the blood? Maybe he just ran away, or more in character, teleported?
In any case, they return to the entrance and see no sign of the warlock. Disconcerted, they return to Winterhaven.

The remaining three spend the next few days wondering about the warlock at Wafton’s Inn. Then one day they spot a strangely large semi-human equipped with assorted stone axes, garbed with the hides of a number of animals, and emitting a notable odor.
He doesn’t look local. But you never know.

Bart approaches the large foul-smelling fellow, "Hello! I haven't seen you here before. Can my friends and I interest you in a drink or two? We are eager for news of lands abroad, and you have the look of a traveler."
"I am Bart, and these are my companions Donn and Samm. We are newcomers here."
"And who are you, and where do you come from?"
(Bart gets him some drinks)

He gladly drinks the proffered ale, and eventually introduces himself and his mission:
“I am Grothog. I come from the mountains, where I seek wives. But for wives I need gold.”
After a bit more chit-chat.
“You are a tiefling…and these ones have arms and armor. This is good. You help Grothog get gold?”

"Grothog. We have been fighting monsters. Kobolds and goblins. We have found gold too."
"I can see you have strength. You have power. If you use your muscle; I will use my magic; they (points to Samm and Donn) use their weapons and powers. Together we go into deep dungeon. Ruined building near here. We travel deep into the earth. Fight many monsters. When we find their gold and treasure we split gold and treasure between us."
"What do you think? Will you come with us and make our group strong?"

Over yet another ale, Grothog becomes serious.
“I learn to tap into the primal power of Kron, to defend tribe. But then have no wives, so leave. I will help smash goblins, and you share gold.”
And that seems to be that.
You all eventually make your way back to the old keep, and again manage to avoid any incidents. But where to from there?

"Kron, you say, eh? Well may the Primal God smile on you and your muscles."
"As I see it, we now have two areas from which to choose, both of which we have merely scratched the surface of."
"I know not in which direction the cultists lay, but I say we continue down the area with the zombies, and the symbols on the ground."
"After all, why not?"
"What say you all? Kill some zombies? Look for some cultist treasure?"

Samm and Donne, having been startled by the sudden disappearance of the warlock, introduce themselves to Grothog.
"Grothog, you are a welcome addition, hopefully with your strength and our faith we'll be able to make more headway into this foul ruin."
"Bart, I agree, I suspect the death cultists lay down the foul smelling stairs where we found the zombies and the terror runes. I suggest we go back that direction and see if we can make some more headway into this dank ruin."

You all return, heading first down the stairs into the dungeon below the ancient Keep, then to the stairs leading the place of damp rot, which is now augmented by a notable crematory odor.
There are a number of directions one may go from there.
See the map in your email. Please update by Friday AM.
